Foamed films e.g. for hygiene articles, bedding or rainproof clothing

A film with a textile feel comprises a foamed layer or a carrier film laminated on one or both sides with a foamed layer.The foamed layer has a thickness of 5-200 mu m and comprises a mixture of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and/or very low density polyethylene (LLDPE) and/or polypropylene (PP) and contains 0.5-10 % propellent, up to 80 % matting agent and up to 10 % other standard additives. The carrier film with a thickness of 10-100 mu m, prepared by (co)extrusion, comprises LDPE, LLDPE and/or PP and also propellent, matting agent and other standard additives. The preparation of these films by simultaneous (co)extrusion and foaming at 150-210 deg C is also claimed.
