Band brake support device for use in automatic gear

The support device has at least one first band brake (B-2) with a brake drum (31), which is connected to a rotary part of an automatic gear and has a brake band for fixing the brake drum on the gear housing. A hollow first shaft (16) supports the brake drum through a first bearing (51), and a second shaft (14) supports the first shaft through a second bearing (52). The second bearing is axially arranged so that it radially covers over the first band brake. The automatic gear also has a second band brake (B-1) with a second brake drum, which is connected with a further rotary part of the gear. The first shaft is connected with the second brake drum. The second band brake is arranged axially next to the first band brake. A third bearing (53) between the first shaft and the second shaft is axially inserted so that it covers the second band brake.
