PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in wear resistance at the time of repetitive use without deteriorating its characteristics or affecting image characteristics by adding a very large amt. of silicone oil. SOLUTION: When at least a photosensitive layer is formed on an electrically conductive substrate to obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor, silicone oil compatible with the constituent materials of the photosensitive layer is added to the layer by an amt. exceeding the compatible limit. It is preferable that the photosensitive layer has a laminated structure consisting of an electric charge generating layer and an electric charge transferring layer and silicone oil is added to the electric charge transferring layer. At the time when the silicone oil deposits in the layer, the size of particles or mist of the silicone oil is preferably <=1μm diameter and the ratio between the size and the thickness of the layer is preferably <1/20. It is preferable that silicone oil is further used in a protective layer.
