SYSTEM FOR TRANSPORTING SAND BLOCKS OR MOULDS

The system is provided to transport sand blocks or moulds (3) from the outlet of a moulding machine (2) to an unmoulding area (4), the transport being carried out by placing the blocks (3) on carriages (5) which slide onto wheels (6) provided in the structure (1) itself of the plant. The transfer of the blocks (3) from the moulding machine (2) to the carriages (5) and from the carriages to the unmoulding area (4) is carried out with the collaboration of corresponding platforms of the comb mode (7 and 7') which are complementary of ribs and longitudinal channels of the carriages (5) so that, in these areas, the blocks (3) rest on the plane determined by the upper edges both of the sections which form the combs (7, 7') and of the edges corresponding to the ribs of the carriages (5), the latter being displaced in closed circuit along a line or upper run with blocks (5) thereon and along lower return run without any block; lifting (8) and lowering (8') devices are provided to situate the carriages (5) in correspondence with the areas of the combs (7, 7').
