The inner (12) and outer (13) faces of a spring element (15) are formed for the transfer of torque between the axle housing (1) and chassis (2). The inner or the outer face of the spring element is polygonal in form, and may be in the form of a standard P4C profile. The spring element is formed as a tensioning assembly with at least one inner or outer face inclined in relation to the longitudinal axis of the axle. It is connected so as to be torsionally rigid to the axle housing and chassis using an axially acting pretensioning force.
