PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image processing unit conducting compressionexpansion in the multi-mode/multi-plane in which a compression code multi-value processing does not exceed largely 1/1 even in the case that a color of a picture element is continuously changed. SOLUTION: With respect to 1st to 10th picture elements not configuring a natural image plane, tag information '01' in 2-bit denoting 'non-compression' or tag information '00' denoting 'run length compression' is stored in a storage means 14. On the other hand, generating data or a run length in 8-bit is stored in a storage means 15 corresponding to each tag information. However with respect to 11th to 18th picture element data configuring the natural image plane, tag information '10' denoting JPEG compression is stored in the storage means 14 with each picture element and no data are registered in the storage means 15. |
