The wheel (1-13) has an axial widening of the wheel flange laterally to the running surface. The shroud of the rotor of the wheel hub motor is formed as the rim. A safety tyre is rigidly connected to the shroud of the rotor. The safety tyre is located in the compressed air space of the rubber tyre below the running surface. A rubber spring ring provides cushioning against axial shock forces. A wheel disc may be provided instead of the hub rotor assembly of the motor.
