Braked slide in seat of motor vehicle

The slide is positioned below the driver's seat, or in or next to the frame, or on the floor assembly, or in the adjusting rails. In the event of a collision the slide is progressively braked inside an established distance. When the slide reaches the end position it is retained by a rigid seating. The progressive braking is effected by one or more shock absorbers which may have a two-way capability, and its conical piston finds a rigid seat in a conical bush in the end position.
