To recycle water used in a washing machine, the collected waste water is cleaned of solid particles, and then separated into a clean fraction to be used as rinsing water in the washing machine and a further fraction containing components required for the washing process and which can be augmented to be used as the washing water. Also claimed is a washing machine with a container (B) to collect the waste rinsing (S) and washing (W) water. A flocking unit (F) flocks solid particles in the water, to be extracted by gravity. The water is then separated into a clean fraction for rinsing, and a fraction for use as washing water. A monitor (ME) measures the concentration of washing components in the water, and a dosing unit (WD) brings the concentration of detergents and the like up to a nominal concentration.Pumps and pipes carry the waste water and the separated fractions between the washing machine components, and lead the rinsing water and regenerated washing water int o the machine. |
