The invention relates to a method among others for manufacturing parts with a reinforced working surface that consists in spraying a metallic base with a ceramic material according to a gaseous thermal deposition method. This method further comprises performing a cementation by maintaining the part at a constant temperature in a mixture containing doping elements, and this for a period of time long enough to ensure that a continuous layer of saturated, solid solutions of the doping elements forms on the surface layer. Specifically, the ceramic material is Al2O3, while the mixture consists of Ni, Cr, Al2O3, and iodinated ammonia powders. The part is maintained in the mixture at a temperature of 925 DEG C for three hours.
