<p>According to the inventive method for producing liquid metal (8) comprising at least partly particulate metal supports in a sealing gasifier (2), in which, by feeding either material containing carbon and oxygen or gas containing oxygen, said metal supports are melted in a bed (11) comprised of solid carbon supports, with simultaneous formation of reducing gas, said particulate metal supports are prevented from discharging by being placed into an area exposed to a high temperature maintained by a combustion process, and by being melted at least partly or integrally, while the high temperature combustion area (13) is spatially isolated from the free space (12) of the sealing gasifier (2) situated upstream of the bed and extending into the bed (11), and the flue gas formed in the high temperature combustion area (13) flow out of it while crossed by at least part of the bed(11), is cooled in the bed (11) and removed from the sealing gasifier (2) at the same time as the reducing gas formed in the bed (11).</p> |
