Process for the production of granulates from an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal cyanide

A method for the production of granulated alkali metal and alkaline earth metal cyanides by fluid bed granulation comprises spraying a solution or suspension of the cyanide onto a fluidised bed of the cyanide nuclei. The water is evaporated using a stream of super-heated water vapour introduced at a temperature of 150 - 500 degrees C, the bed temperature being 110-350 degrees C.
