<p>A two-part system for electrical stress control includes a conformable stress control material (20) positioned at the shield cut edge of a prepared power cable (22) and a stress control tube (18) over the conformable stress control material (20). A second region of conformable stress control material (21) is positioned adjacent the cut end of the insulation (28). Relationships are revealed which relate the permitivity and dimensional parameters of the two components.</p> |
