The device includes a switch operating between opening and closing mode. A cylinder is connected at one end rotatable on a body plate and a piston divides the inside of the cylinder into two chambers. A piston rod is fixed rotatable at one end on the boot lid. Pneumatic mechanisms selectively supply one of the first and second chambers with compressed air and let air escape in the other of the chambers from the cylinder, according to the operation of the switch. The pneumatic mechanisms have a compressed air supply unit attached to the chambers through a compressed air line and two valves as well as control device.
