The method, computer system, and computer program analyze geological data stored on computer-readable media, comprising organizing the data to represent a plurality of sub-regions; attaching a material property to each of the plurality of sub-regions; editing one sub-region of the plurality of subregions to produce a second plurality of sub-regions; and propagating the material property from the one sub-region of the plurality of sub-regions to the second plurality of sub-regions.
