<p>New aminopropiophenones of formula:- (where R and R' are alkyls with 3 or 4C, or R = H), esp. the beta-butyl-amino or beta-propylamino-propiohenones, are prepared from the corresponding beta-halogeno derivs. and amines RR'NH; or the 4-acylamino cpds. are hydrolysed; or the related secondary alcohols are oxidised; or appropriately substituted acetophenones are condensed with HCHO and bases RR'NH in the presence of an acid or the amine salt. The products have better analgetic and sedative properties than previous cpds. of this type.</p> |
