The 21-OH pregnane is reacted (e.g. at 60 degrees C-110 degrees C for 2-10 hours) with and N-acyl-phosphoric acid amide (pref. acyl is benzoyl, methylbenzoyl or p-nitrobenoyl) in the presence of an organic base (e.g. alkylamines, piperidines esp. cyclohexylamine). The products can be separated and purified as the salt of the added base or converted to the free acid or a pharmaceutical active salt.
