PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a subject tungsten-containing chlorella that has antioxidant action by culturing chlorella in a culture medium containing tungstic acid (or its salt) photosynthetically under specific conditions. SOLUTION: In a culture medium containing tungstic acid or its salt (preferably potassium tungstate), a fresh water chlorella (Chlorella prenoidosa) is cultured photosynthetically at a pH of 4-9 and at 15-40 deg.C. The concentration of potassium tungstate is preferably 0.01-4g/l, particularly 0.5-3g/l in the culture medium. |
