RECOVERY OF EPOXY COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover an epoxy compound in a high yield by decomposing a peroxide in the presence of a specific solid catalyst and subsequently distilling out the obtained epoxy compound from the reaction solution containing the peroxide and the epoxy compound in the presence of a specified compound. SOLUTION: This method for recovering an epoxy compound comprises catalytically decomposing an epoxide in the presence of a solid catalyst carrying palladium or platinum thereon and subsequently distilling out the obtained epoxy compound from the reaction solution containing the epoxy compound and the peroxide in the presence of a compound of the formula (R is an alkyl, an aryl, an aralkyl). The method does not cause the polymerization of the epoxy compound on the distillation and enables to improve the recovery rate of the epoxy compound.
