发明名称 Nickel-Cadmium-Sammlerzelle
摘要 1,183,533. Nickel-cadmium cells with tubular electrodes. WESTERN ELECTRIC CO. Inc. 31 May, 1967 [28 June, 1966], No. 25080/67. Heading H1B. In a sealed nickel-cadmium secondary cell the positive electrode comprises a mixture of finely divided nickel and nickel hydroxide in a perforated metal hollow structure 11 surrounded by an insulating separator 14 and is placed inside and spaced from a metal container 10 in which the remaining space is filled with a mixture of finely divided cadmium oxide and a conductive material 15. The perforated electrode structure is preferably of the conventional tubular kind. The cell may contain one such tube, as in Fig. 1, or several may be welded together in a row and placed in a single metal container, which may be of rectangular form. The perforated electrode may be made from nickel-plated perforated steel sheet, the outer container of copper or nickel or steel internally nickel-plated or of a plastics material lined with a conductive material. The positive electrode material preferably contains 5-30 wt. per cent of Ni, as flakes, in layers alternating with Ni(OH) 2 layers. The negative active material contains CdO and powdered or flaked Ag, Cu, Ni or graphite in 0À1-2 : 1 weight ratio. The KOH electrolyte fills 30-70% of the cell voids.
