PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the work safely even in a highly humid atmosphere and effect heat setting rapidly. SOLUTION: Two parallel electrodes 4a, 4b are temporarily fixed to one of the ends of a plain weave carbon fabric sheet 3 of a lining material 1 comprising a non-electroconductive felt sheet 2 and the sheet 3 and to a location spaced from the other end thereof by a certain distance, respectively. The material 1 is wound round a packer so that the sheet 3 is located inside the sheet 2, which is drawn in to a damaged part from a manhole. Pressure fluid is fed into the packer to expand the diameter thereof so that the material 1 is pressed against the inner surface of a sewage main pipe and low voltage is applied to the electrodes 4a, 4b to heat the sheet 3, whereby thermosetting resin impregnated into the sheet 2 is heated and cured to form a lining layer over the damaged part of the main pipe. |
