PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To step and move a brake pedal in the case where a separation valve to separate a displacement chamber of a master brake cylinder from a wheel braked cylinder is closed by devising it possible to carry out external force brake operation while a piston is in an idling stroke. SOLUTION: Central valves 42, 44 built in both of pistons 34, 36 are closed first when the pistons 34, 36 are made to slide in a master brake cylinder 26 by their respective valve opening processes, and an idling stroke in length of a valve opening process of the pistons 34, 36 is generated. During this idling stroke, pressure is not formed in displacement chambers 38, 40, when the pistons 34, 36 move the slide, the central valves 42, 44 are first closed, pressure is formed by pushing them further into the master brake cylinder 26, and it is possible to carry out external force brake operation. Consequently, it is possible to step on a brake pedal during the external force brake operation in the case when a separation valve is closed. |
