发明名称 PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA SOLDADURA CON ARCO VOLTAICO CUBIERTO (SOLDADURA BAJO POLVO).
摘要
1,267,097. Welding by fusion. LINDE A.G. 11 Dec., 1969 [12 Dec., 1968], No. 60447/69. Heading B3R. In flux-submerged arc welding using a consumable wire electrode the voltage drop between the electrode and workpiece is maintained at such a low value that the positive column region of the arc substantially fails to exist and the welding current is maintained at a value greater than 1000 amps. It is stated that the arc normally comprises three regions, viz. anode drop (the region adjacent the anode), cathode drop (the region adjacent the cathode), and positive column (the region between the anode and cathode drops). The voltage drop over the anode and cathode drops together is stated to be about 22 Volts in submerged arc welding and has only small dependence on current strength. Hence, the welding voltage is set in the region 22-24 Volts in dependence on current strength for currents between 1000 and 4000 amps, and as a result the positive column region is substantially eliminated. Greatly increased welding rates are stated to be obtainable in such conditions. Preferably the diameter of electrode is 6 to 8 mm. for currents in the range 1000-2500 amps, and at least 7À0 mm. for currents in excess of 2500 amps. Preferably, also, the length of the electrode between the current input and its tip is less than 35 mm., and a constant voltage/ current source is used which obviates the need to control the wire feed. A welding rate of 300 cm./min. is referred to.
