PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which is suitably used as an insulating material, especially for producing an insulated wire, a shielded wire and a covering tube and the like which are suitably employed in application fields which need transmission of a high frequency current, such as in wiring for the back light of a liquid crystal display element, by preparing a composition such that a crosslinked product thereof has specified values with respect to initial tensile strength, elongation, tensile elastic modulus, relative dielectric constant and flame retardancy. SOLUTION: A crosslinked product of this composition has following properties: 1.05kg/mm<2> or more in terms of initial tensile strength, 100% or more in terms of elongation, 10kg/cm<2> or less in terms of tensile elastic modulus, less than 3.3 in terms of relative dielectric constant and a flame retardancy such that it satisfies in the VW-1 vertical combustion test according to UL standard the requirement that the longest burning time is 60 seconds or less, a kraft paper disposed above a burning sample does not catch fire and an absorbent cotton disposed under a burning sample does not catch fire from burning drops. This composition comprises a polyolefin resin prepared by copolymerizing ethylene and a non polarα-olefin using a single site metallocene catalyst and having a density less than 0.89, a halogen flame retardant and zinc oxide. |
