A boring machine includes a table 5 mounted on a bed 1 for reciprocal movement. A device 3 for fixing workpieces W of semi-cylindrical shape is mounted on the bed 1. Cutting tools P and Q, a workpiece carry-in device 6 and a workpiece carry-out device 7 are provided on the table 5. The table 5 is moved to a left side, and the workpieces W are placed on the workpiece carry-in means 6. Then the table 5 is moved to a right side to transfer the workpieces W to the workpiece fixing device 3. The table 5 is again moved to the left side, so that each workpiece W is subjected to a boring process by the cutting tools P and Q. The workpiece carry-out device 7 receives the processed workpieces W, and then the workpieces W are unloaded by a workpiece unloading device 4, and are fed to a subsequent step. |
