A vehicle security system comprises a receiver 14 for receiving a coded signal, a memory 18 with a code stored in it, and control means 16 arranged to analyse the received signal and, if the signal corresponds to the stored code to a high degree change the state of security of the vehicle and change the stored code according to a predetermined algorithm whereas if the signal corresponds to the stored code only to a lesser degree change the stored code according to said algorithm but not change the state of security of the vehicle. <IMAGE> |
