<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the incompatibility of an occupant at the transfer time from an automatic steering to a manual steering. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a manual steering mechanism 1, a manual detection means 37 for detecting the steering by the manual steering mechanism, an intermittentable resistance force giving means 45 for giving a resistance force to a steering force transmission mechanism 7, an automatic steering mechanism 3, an abnormality detection means 43 for detecting the abnormality of the automatic steering mechanism 3 and a control means 35 for driving an actuator 27 based on the running environment information by the information input for requiring an automatic steering. The control means 35 intercepts the drive of the actuator 27 by the abnormality detection of the abnormality detection means 43 and also actuate a resistance force giving means 45 and also controls the interception by the steering detection by the manual detection means 37.</p> |
