PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simulation method that facilitates data input, in a press working simulation method in which plastic deformation of each process is computed using a finite element method, by inputting in one lot the data of the entire processes required for the computation at the start of the simulation. SOLUTION: In the first step, the input data of all processes are prepared, namely, data for materials, metallic dies and calculating conditions. The material data are the plasticity coefficient F and the working hardening coefficient n in a relational expression σ=F.ε<n> for tension test stress σ and plastic strain ε; the data for calculating conditions are the coordinate value and the nodal point number of a material element constituting nodal point; and the metallic die data are the shapes of the dies in all processes, frictional coefficients of the dies and the materials, and the position of the bottom dead point of the press. In the second step, calculation is made for the finite element method of all processes while, in the third step, the calculation results are graphically displayed in plate thickness and the press behavior of the dies. As a result, estimation is made possible for forming flaws or dimensional defects. |
