PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve execution of an insulation panel while heightening a thermal insulation efficiency, and improve the adhesion thereof to an adjacent material by forming a slope in a thicknesswise direction on both ends of an insulation panel having a plurality of slits on both front and reverse sides. SOLUTION: A plate type heat insulating material is formed out of inexpensive styrene foam so as to have a size slightly larger than the prescribed size (height×width), and the minimum required number of slits 3 and 4 is formed on both upper and reverse sides thereof. Also, the outermost slits of the slits on the upper side are formed as wide groove 2. In addition, a tapered surface 5 (slope) is formed on both ends of the insulating material 1 in a thicknesswise direction, so that the material 1 is easily fitted into and made to keep a proper expansion and contraction amount for the adhesion of the edges thereof. Also the heat insulating material 1 is formed so as to be fitted easily as well as without any gap, regardless of more or less dimensional errors between underfloor joists, on a wall or the like. As a result, thermal deficiency can be reduced and insulation efficiency can be improved.
