PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simplification of the shape of a skin molding die and attainment of a skin with excellent precision and at low cost even in the case when an insert having a projecting part on a foam non-molding surface is used and, besides, to lessen an unnecessary part of the skin to be cut away after molding of a foam molded article and thereby to mold the foam molded article economically. SOLUTION: An insert 30 having a projecting part 35 formed on a foam non-molding surface 32 is set on one mold surface 23, while a skin 10 having a thin-section part 11 for fracture formed beforehand is set on the other die surface 24 in which a recessed part 25 into which the projecting part 35 is to be inserted is formed, in such a manner that it is lifted from the bottom 25a of the recessed part. At the time of subsequent mold closure, the skin 10 is pushed into the recessed part by the projecting part of the insert 30, so that it be fractured in the thin-section part 11 for fracture, and a foam is molded in foaming between the skin 10 and the insert 30. |
