Title cpd. of formula (I): is prepd. by condensing 1-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-2- N-(1-methyl-3-phenylpropyl)-N-benzyl-amino- -ethanol, in the form of an alkali salt, with a 2-methoxyethyl halide in the presence of a warm solvent and debenzylating the condensation product by hydrogenating in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst.
