<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose environment pollutants such as fluorocarbon gas, polyethylene, plastics, wood, org. compds. having benzene rings and other industrial waste by pyrolysis, hydrolysis, reduction or combination of these process. SOLUTION: In this treatment, the material to be decomposed is mixed with a solvent and heated by a heater 25 to produce a superheated vapor, which is made to pass through a reactor 29 heated to specified temp. under normal pressure. In this method, iron, carbon, carbon steel or a material which produces hydrogen by reaction with superheated steam is disposed in either the heater 25 or the reactor 29 or in both of these so that the hardly decomposable material is decomposed by the reduction with produce hydrogen and by the hydrolysis of the superheated steam.</p> |
