Plant pot covers are produced from a foil (3), e.g. plastic, by supplying the foil to the apparatus and pressing the foil with a pot shape (51) into a matching female mould (53A, B) to form a flat base and a pleated wall. The female mould is rotated to an extracting position (89A) and the product (1) is removed appropriately (93), after which the cycle is repeated. Also claimed is the apparatus for forming the plant pot cover as described above, consisting of a press and a matching two part mould. Two female moulds (53A, B) are joined at the base and may be rotated (77) from a pressing to a removal position with synchronised movement.
