PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly whereby vein piercing is easily recognized with 'no blood', not only a sharp tip part but also a whole needle is covered after usage, that is compact and simply and easily used and a special feature and technique are unnecessitated for an operation. SOLUTION: The catheter assembly is provided with a catheter 22 and a catheter hub 21 having a side part port 23 which is communicated to the catheter. The base end part of a needle 30 which is arranged inside the catheter 22 and is provided with the sharp tip part is connected to a shield housing 31 and plural nest-type tubes which are connected to the shield housing 30 so as to be operation possible are provided. The plural tubes include a means 51 for preventing the separation of them and a means 52 for preventing the crush of them when they are temporarily extended. The tubes are provided with combined length by which the needle 30 is perfectly shielded when they are extended by a nest-type. |
