<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which has a good ball hitting feel and controllability and is good in productivity and production efficiency without impairing repulsiveness which is the characteristic of an ionomer resin. SOLUTION: The base material resin of the cover of the golf ball having a core 1 and the cover 2 covering the core comprises the resin which is 35 to 80wt.% univalent or bivalent metal salt of an ethylene-unsatd. carboxylic acid copolymer having a melt index of 4.5 to 25g/10min and the resin which is 20 to 65wt.% metal salt of the ethylene-unsatd. carboxylic acid copolymer having the melt index of 0.1 to 4g/10min or the metal salt of an ethylene-unsatd. carboxylate-unsatd. carboxylic acid ternary copolymer or mixture composed thereof. The melt index of the compsn. for the cover constituting the cover is specified to 3 to 15g/10min and the Shore D hardness thereof to 45 to 65.</p> |
