<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent charged dust from sticking to a counter electrode and to prevent the occurrence of abnormal discharge and the soiling of the counter electrode when you forget to stick dust collecting paper on the counter electrodes by making a high voltage generator inoperative not to cause discharge between a discharge electrode and the counter electrode. SOLUTION: In this purifier, high voltage is applied to between a discharge electrode 31 and a counter electrode 32 installed in a body to generate discharge, and by this discharge, an ionic wind is generated to charge dust in fresh air sucked from an air intake hole and the dust is removed by dust collecting paper stuck on the counter electrode before evacuating.
