<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating plastic foam wastes, whereby the wastes can be converted into a gel-like product to permit dissolution, volume reduction and recycling. SOLUTION: A treatment tank 1 for holding a solvent 8 has an inlet 2 for plastic foam wastes and a pipe 20 for a solvent supplied from a solvent tank 18 through a pump 19 on its top, has a supply mechanism for the foams in its inside and has a discharge port 10 for the treated gel-like product 9 on its bottom. While the wastes are being prevented from floating on the solvent 8 supplied to the tank 1, they are subjected to dissolution and volume reduction and converted into a gel-like product which can be recycled into resources.</p> |
