<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical printer having a simple structure and a short exposing time. SOLUTION: Color filters R, G, B to be switched freely for a fluorescent lamp 2 having a plurality of monochromatic emission dots 14 are disposed in a head 4 of an optical printer 1. The head moves in the sub-scanning direction A and irradiates the emission dots arranged in the main scanning direction while being superposed by a film 3 with lights of RGB through filters of R, G, B to form a full-color image. The lights of R, G, B have different film sensitivity, filter transmittance and light source luminance and they are higher on the order of green, blue and red. Speed of the head 4 is matched to G requiring shortest exposing time and scanning is repeated a plurality of times for R, B in order to balance the color as a whole. For example, exposure is tried by 4, 1 and 2 times, respectively, for R, G and B. The light source requires a substantially constant luminance and control of power supply voltage requires only a fine adjusting means. Total exposing time is also shortened as compared with a conventional one. According to the arrangement, speed of the head 4 is increased as compared with a conventional one and a smooth feed drive system can be designed easily.</p> |
