PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To jet ink stably from a recording head by preventing the air from flowing into an ink guide path and choking the recording head when an ink cartridge containing ink is fixed to a fixing member and the ink is introduced from the ink supply port of the ink cartridge through the ink guide path in the fixing member to the recording head. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 10 containing ink 1 is provided with a port 15 for supplying ink to the outside and a member 20 to be fixed with the ink cartridge is provided with a path 24 for guiding ink supplied through the ink supply port. In such an ink supply unit, a piston member 16 reciprocates in the ink cartridge and the ink guide path in the fixing member is coupled with an air discharge path 27. |
