PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elastic material which generates a large quantity of minus ions and is useful as e.g. a health cure tool by molding, by heating, a mixture prepared by mixing a gel-like elastic material with a tourmaline ore having a specified particle diameter. SOLUTION: A mixture prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. gel-like elastic material with 1-100 pts.wt. tourmaline ore having a particle diameter of 0.1μm to 1mm is molded by heating. The gel-like material is desirably e.g. one obtained by adding about 30-200 pts.wt. oil to 100 pts.wt. polyolefin resin or a polyolefin/ styrene copolymer, uniformly mixing the mixture under heating and cooling the heated mixture. It is usually suitable that the gel-like material has a Shore C hardness of about 2-30. It is possible that the elastic material is a foamed one prepared by using a blowing agent. In the gel-like elastic material, part of the resin is crosslinked by the addition of a crosslinking agent.
