<p>The present invention relates to a method for increasing the bulk of fibrous material, wherein fibers are heated under pressure, after which the pressure is released rapidly. Further, the invention relates to the use of a steam explosion to increase the bulk of paper fibers. This method and use lend themselves in particular for increasing the bulk of wastepaper fibers which can subsequently be used advantageously in the manufacture of, for instance, solid cardboard. <IMAGE></p> |
