A catheter has a lumen having a distal end and a proximal end. The distal end an d the proximal end each have an aperture open into the lumen providing a path for perfusion of blood through the lumen. A ballon material is mounted about the lumen between the aper tures. The balloon material is selectively inflatable for obstructing a flow of blood to th e anastomotic site.
