FIELD: textile industry, in particular, fabric for manufacture of costume for fencers and other sportive costumes, as well as for production of protective members for sportsman's chest and side regions. SUBSTANCE: fabric is manufactured by filling and core thread fancy weaving formed by joining of two repp weaves (warp 2/2 and weft 2/2), which are offset one with respect to another both in horizontal and vertical planes by value equal to half the distance between adjacent pairs of interlacing threads. Each thread in pair of filling and core threads of pattern repeat of 8 is woven separately out of phase one with respect to another. Each pair of threads of one system is alternatively disposed between two threads of related pair of opposite pair of threads. Average geometrical weft and warp fabric filling is 84-89%.
