METHOD OF PRODUCING TITANIUM DIOXIDE PIGMENT FROM TITANIUM-CONTAINING WASTES

FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: titanium- containing raw material interacts with concentrated hydrochloric acid with density 1.145-1.175 g/sq. cm at solids to liquid weight ratio 2:7 (on conversion to titanium) to form solution that is diluted by double volume of water and then treated by half volume of 25% ammonium hydroxide. Resultant solution is then heated to boiling and settled. Precipitate is subjected to triple decantation and dried at 60-90 C. Product is fit to be used for preparing dyes and as component for white color. EFFECT: utilized waste. 4 tblo
