FIELD: sheet material cutting by means of water jet. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes table having support for sheet to be cut. Said support is mounted in frame and it is in the form of mutually parallel plates with sharpened upper ends creating water permeable surface. Means for absorbing water jet is arranged under said water permeable surface. Each plate has base with groove for mounting sections of changeable supporting member. Said sections are made of material characterized by high resistance against action of water jet. Said base is made of high-strength material. Changeable supporting member may be placed between said sections and base. Such structure provides lowered mass of said plates of table.
