FIELD: transport engineering; brakes. SUBSTANCE: disk brake of vehicle has friction member and spring. Friction member has carrying plate whose ends are arranged in disk brake member which offers resistance to torque and is in sliding contact with member. At least one end of carrying plate has rounded off surface which is in sliding contact with rounded off surface formed on member. One of rounded off surfaces is concave and the other, convex one. Radius of curvature of convex surface is less than radius of curvature of concave surface. Under action of spring of disk brake unit, friction member is displaced in first extreme position and is held in constant contact with rounded off surface formed on member. Spring has active part arranged in hole made in end of carrying plate and reactive part engaging with flat sections of concave surface. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 6 cl, 6 dwge
