<p>A short-circuit contact member 19 for indicating full engagement of an electrical coupling comprises a base 19a, a plate 19b bent from the plate 19a and juxtaposed contact arms 19c having a slit 19f therebetween, each arm having an intermediate contact point 19c* small Greek omega * and a driving portion 19d at the end remote from the plate 19b. A cover 19e of the contact member 19 extends over the plate 19b. Protruberences 19g of the contact member 19 retain the contact member 19 in a connector A'. A latch 14 of the connector A' retains the connector when it is coupled with a counterpart B', and also engages the driving portion 19d of the contact member during coupling. The contact member 19 shorts contacts D" of the counterpart B' when connector and counterpart are coupled.</p> |
