Doppler effect correction method in a radiocommunications network with mobiles

The method involves using a current base station to measure the frequency derivative between the going and return paths when the base unit is in communication with a mobile unit. A frequency correction value which is a function of the frequency derivative is transmitted by the current base station to the mobile unit. The mobile unit performs correction to a local frequency reference as a function of the frequency correction value. The frequency derivative measurement is performed as a function of the actual reception frequency.
