The system consists of a telescopic shock absorber strut (13) for each wheel, connected to the structure of the vehicle by an upper articulated joint and a lower elastic arm formed by the lower branch (1a) of a spring leaf (1) of a composition material in a general U-shape, and with its upper branch (1b) designed to receive the articulated joint (11). The middle section (1c) of the leaf extends vertically and is connected to the upper and lower branches by curved sections (1d,1e) and is joined to the vehicle structure by two vertically-spaced fixings (C,F). The lower branch is in a general C-shape and is attached to the vehicle structure by a lower fixing (F) so that it acts as a suspension system spring. |
