Infrared angular positioning sensor characterized by enabling the angular positioning of a body 1 to be determined based on three photo-emitters 6 joined to the body 1, with their optical axes preferably at right angles to one another and cosine emission law 5, taking as a reference a trihedron 4 in whose first octant there is a photo-receiver 3 lit by the photo-emitters 6, which converts the optical signals received into an electrical signal that, conditioned by means of a signal processing unit, enables the system's computing unit to obtain the body's 1 spatial alignment data with respect to the reference trihedron 4. It has its main field of application as a man-machine interface input device, in the observation of conduct in driving cars, in disabled (quadriplegic) persons' access to computer systems and control of devices. <IMAGE>
